Project 3- Color and grids

For this this assignment, I explored working with color harmonies and complements, using color to emphasize certain aspects, and shooting one color (monochromatic), I explored how color affects mood and how it was used for emphasis and for unifying an image. In lightroom, I worked with various presets and put together images to create grids.

Color compliment - raindrops on flowers
Color harmony - books upon books

Yellow trees

Monochrome grid - pretty pink

The Best of Project One

For my first project, I shot two subjects. They were my sister Beth and the rose bush at Lincoln High school.

In this photo, my sister is trying to figure out what she felt touch her hand. This image really captured her curiosity and interest which you can see in her face expression. I also liked the angle because you can clearly see what she's looking and the emotion the image creates.

I was shooting the rose bush at Lincoln High School after it had been raining. I chose this image because it really captures the rain drops and bright pink color. I also liked the angle showing the
underneath of a flower. When editing this photo, I made the image more sharper and made the flower more vivid by adding more of a brighter pink.

When shooting this picture, my sister was playing outside. I chose this image because because I like the side angle and the detail of her side profile.

This was also shot at Lincoln High School and I tired a different angle getting half of the object which is what makes this photo interesting to me. I also used the 'Edge Effect-Pc vignette 1' filter to show off the vivd pink.

This was also shot at Lincoln High School where I tried to get a close up of the rose petals. I chose his photo because it represents the beauty of the rose after a rain storm as it captures a few of the raindrops. I made this image more sharp to show detail of a close up.

My Summer

This summer, I auditioned for the Junior Artist Generator (JAG) performing company at Bodyvox. This studio is known for their breathtaking productions, richness in imagery, athleticism, and humor. Joining this performing company has given me high hopes of becoming a professional dancer.
